Helen Smallbone
Helen is mother of 7 including well known artists Rebecca St James and Joel and Luke from for King and Country and grandmother to 14. She is focusing her senior years on mentoring younger mums.

As Co-founder of MUMlife Community, Helen Smallbone was born in Australia in the mid-50’s the youngest with three older brothers and her father being a Methodist minister. Even though she grew up in the church her faith became real in her mid teens when she committed her life to Christ at a Sydney Billy Graham Crusade.
Trained as an Occupational Therapist, her greatest desire was to serve God and be a wife and mother. These desires started to be realized when she married the love of her life, David Smallbone, at the young age of 20. The ensuing years were busy with 6 children being born during the next 14 years.
In 1991 when pregnant with their 7th child their world was turned upside down by a personal financial crisis. The answer appeared to be relocating to Nashville TN for David to pursue a job of managing a Christian music artist.
However, new ‘adventures’ were experienced as the family homeschooled and were forced to ‘live by faith’ for the ensuing few years. The family, now comprised of 5 boys and 2 girls, has continued to remain close working together in Christian music.
Helen and David continue to live just outside Nashville on a small average. She continues to love her role of wife and mother but also has a new ‘hobby’ that comprises a petting zoo/menagerie which has approximately 13 different varieties of animals. They have now become US citizens and are blessed with a growing family of 9 grandchildren.
Heather Houle’

As Co Founder of MUMlife Community, Heather Houle’ shares her passion, love and devotion to the core of encouraging mothers in their daily affairs and their relationship with Jesus! With a strong desire to continually become a better mum, she believes it is pertinent to be surrounded by strong teaching, love and an encouraging community of both peers and mentors!
Heather has always had a passion for ministry and sharing God’s love. She accepted Jesus as her personal savior at the age of 7. She was the daughter of a minister and recalls vividly the special day after church when her father sat with her, using a chalkboard analogy of heaven and hell and making the decision to choose heaven! It was a long journey to get to the place she is today and to be able to devote her life to full time ministry. A journey she is so grateful for.
As a New England native, Heather spent many years in Florida with her mother and 2 sisters. Attending both Florida College and the University of South Florida, her studies were focused on both elementary education and speech communication. In college, she enjoyed being a cheerleader and competing on the traveling debate/forensics team. After moving to California, she fell madly in love to now husband, Stephen Houle’. Her most prized accomplishment is mother to Jesse, Christian, Kick and Sarah Scout! They live in Franklin, Tn with with their 3 dogs, Billie Punch, Jr and Rocky. Heather shares that being a wife and mother is joy to the fullest!

Nina is a Buffalo, New York native and a devoted mother of two wonderful children. In her profession, Nina enjoys serving families as a licensed professional real estate agent in Middle TN. She enjoys running, dancing, and spending time with her friends.

Casey is a momma to 4 children, a wife to Chris, and an entrepreneur/real estate agent. She has been married for 20 years and resides in College Grove, TN.

Lauren was born and raised in Nashville, TN. She’s been married to her husband for 15 years and they have 3 beautiful biracial children. She runs her own company, providing accounting services for small businesses and individuals in the music industry.

Esther was born in MI but raised in TN. She is Mexican and Puerto Rican and is fluent in both Spanish and English. Esther has been married for 18 years and has 2 beautiful blonde haired brown eyed girls. She and her family reside in Thompsons Station and is a working mom as a realtor in the area.

Jessica
Jessica is a mom to three girls and a boy, ages 12, 9, 6, and 3. She and her husband have been married for almost 15 years. For over a decade they have been church planters/pastors together. Currently Jessica serves as the Children’s Director at their church. She has a passion for kids to truly know the love of God and for families to flourish.

Caitlin was born and raised in Nashville, TN. She is the mother of 2 boys and has been married to the love of her life, Michael for 16 years. Outside of work and family, Caitlin enjoys reading, running, listening to live music, and is actively involved in her church.

Brittany is a mother to 4 kids and a wife to Dan. She substitute teaches at her kids schools and is a Real Estate Agent. She has been married for 14 years. Her dream job is to sit on the beach and sell coconuts.

Heidi was born in Scotland and now lives in Tennessee with her Irish husband of 14 years and their 4 strong willed, energetic children. She is a homeschool Mum who loves being creative, worship music and family trips home to their cottage in Ireland.

Dana
Dana is originally from Meridian, Ms & has been in Franklin, Tn for 17 years. She is married with 3 kids and her youngest has Down syndrome. She works full time in medical device sales & in her spare time loves fundraising events and working out.
What is a Mentor Mum?
MUMlife Community is a ministry rooted in God’s directive found in Titus 2:3-4. “Teach the older women to ... teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children” (Titus 2:3-4, NIV). In these verses we learn that God’s plan is for the older women to teach and encourage the younger women to love their husbands and children. In His Word God gives His church many precepts for strengthening marriages, parenting, and the overall mission of the church. One of them is clearly stated in Titus 2:3-4. In the MUMlife Community ministry, the more experienced mums, who have traveled further on the marriage and childrearing journey, are called Titus 2 mentors.
